We finished our New York City Puzzle just in time to have Thanksgiving meal in the dining room. This one was a lot of work so I think we will be taking a brake for a little while.

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house instead of being at my parents house. Let me tell you I never realized how hard it is to prepare so much food. I have to say I now realize why my mom never watched the Thanksgiving day parade with us when we were kids. She saw stuck in the kitchen. I'm not complaining because I actually had a good experience with being the host. The only down side I was so caught up in worrying about the food and how the house looked I forgot to take pictures. Oh well just my luck!
Our guest list: Mom & Dad Gibbons, Grandma Eiseman, Aunt Jeanne & Uncle David, Racheal, Elise, Garrett, Chris & Jen Neelans, Emily, and our family of 5. Since we did not fit all around the dinning room table we set up on in the living room so everyone could be close together. The meal was wonderful and a Big Thanks to all that bought the different items that they prepared. Then as our family tradition we go to a movie, well little man would have been a nightmare so my mom to the girls along with Emily to see Bolt in 3-D and then after they got back Paul & I , Chris & Jen went to see 4 Christmases. The day turned out wonderful and I am so glad I got to spend it with family and friends that should be part of our family.
These are the Turkey place cards the girls made for everyone, they did such a great job.

Now this is a first, we did not go shopping on black Friday! We have done it for the last eight years and this year we found nothing that we wanted. I'm sorry but we thought the sales were no good, hardly any good kids stuff and I don't want just a bunch of junk. Now I have to say if you wanted a plasma then this was the year but we couldn't see the reason in spending the money on a another TV. (Well maybe we could but didn't!)
Leaf Jumping and clean up day!

This is what the girls look forward to every year. With this being the case they can't wait til the leafs fall and its jumping time. We usually wait until all the leafs fall so they have a big pile and its a one time clean up. Well this year our wonderful neighbor thought she would help us out by helping clean up our leafs in the front yard before the rain the next day. I was coming home after picking Mariah up from Preschool and the yard was all cleaned up and the first thing Mariah said was "Where are all our leafs?". I saw our neighbor in her back yard and put two & two together and told Mariah that she must have helped us with cleaning up our leafs. She was very mad and told me to tell her to put them back, we were saving them to jump in. I felt so bad since this is what they have been talking about since the changing of the leafs and our trees hold onto their leafs for a very long time before falling so its a long wait. Well luck for our kids we have an even bigger tree in the backyard but there is just one catch, you could find a surprise left behind by our dog if your not careful. Needless to say our girls didn't care if there was dog poo in the pile or not. Just a note: we did scrub them down afterwards.

Mason did not like the leafs but loves the swing!

Glad you had such a good Thanks-Giving. Being a host is a lot of work. I love your leaf jumping pictures. You can tell they had so much fun. There is no leaf jumping down here in the valley:(
