This all started about a month ago when I oldest came to me and asked if she could go see the Hunger Games movie at midnight. I first I was like sure why not but then I thought why do you want to see this movie, you haven't read the books? She said "ya I know but my friend has and she really wants to see it and if you say yes then her mom will say yes." Of course so not true right! So remember my answer was sure and then I received an email regarding mid quarter grades so I checked Kenzie's out. To my surprise she was getting C's in two subjects that are her strongest and at this point her and I needed to talk! So my stipulation was that if she could bring up her grades then I would take her to see the midnight showing and I guess her friend was in the same situation.
Well weeks went by and I kept checking her grades to see how things were going but still to early to tell. While we were heading back from our little Spring Break trip I decided to check her grades and would you believe not only did she bring her grades up but she pulled straight A's. I don't know how she does it but she somehow always pulls it off! So I texted her friends mom and we made plans to go together, both these girls pulled it off.
I'm so glad Kenzie and I could share her first mid-night premiere together, I love making first time memories with my kids!
The girls were way excited in their matching shirts!
