Our October (With Tons Of Pics)

Our family looks forward to October every year. We like to jam in a whole lot of stuff in a small amount of time, but wouldn't have it any other way. We started the month with Paul & my anniversary weekend then followed by Paul's birthday. After all that excitement we started getting ready for all our Halloween activities. Since October this year was cold & rainy we pretty much froze our butts off all the time. A favorite family tradition is taking the kids to a pumpkin farm so they can choose their pumpkin to carve. It was a very cold day but the kids had a great time going out to the fields and picking their favorite one, the apples & cider this year were great too.
Okay, Kenzie show us the way!

They sure picked some great pumpkins!

Kings Island (Our Last Hurrah)

For the last 2 years we have had Kings Island season passes & have had so much fun with it. We love the park and all the great thing that it has for kids. During October they set up a Halloween area and it is filled with all kinds of activities for the kids. Like the pumpkin area where you can go chose a pumpkin and then go decorate it. This year they added a tractor ride and a small petting zoo and of course the kids love the hay maze. You could ask for a better place to hang out with your kids.

Grandma joined us this trip & we're so glad she is not in traction from it!

The kids had her riding everything from kiddie rides all the way up to the new crazy ride the diamond back. I think she rode it 2 times and we're grateful she's still alive. We're sure glad she came with us and was able to enjoy this time with the kids.

Different characters around the park.

Our family of 5, maybe someday we can everyone focus on the pic.

Our dare devil daughter, she loves this ride. The Diamond Back - stands 230 feet tall with the first drop of 215 feet at 80 miles an hour and with only that little lap bar to hold you in. Yeah, that's right no over the head harness, no seat belt and not really any thing to hold on to. Does it sound like fun? Oh heck ya it does, it's my favorite roller coaster ever! Just imagine my 9 year old on that thing and not holding on at all, now that's scary! Check out the video of the ride if you dare!
Good bye to one of our favorite hang-outs, we will have so many wonderful memories!
Pumpkin Craving

I think everyone enjoyed carving their pumpkin and trying to make a scary face. Mariah is the only one that doesn't like all that slimmy stuff on her hands. So we cleaned them out and saved the seeds to enjoy later. Mason loves the seeds we can't keep them away from him.

Mackenzies is a witch, Masons has just square shapes, & Mariahs is a scary face.

Spooky!!!

Trick Or Treat
Mackenzie as Devil with a Blue Dress

Mariah as Aurora
Little Man as a UPS Man
We were so luck this year to have great trick or treat weather. The kids had such a blast this year. Now that there older they don't think everything is so scary but there were a few houses that made them walk a little bit faster. Mason had so much fun going from house to house, sometimes I would skip a house because the other kids move to fast and he would get ready to get out of his wagon and I would say no wait til the next one and he would get so made at me. So needless to say he loves candy! One of Mackenzie's friends weighed her candy and it was 4lbs., so we have way to much candy in this house.
