The Kids Valentine's

The girls wanted me to post about their Valentine's, they both put in a lot of hard work on them. We found this idea on Tip Junkie so we thought it would be fun for Mackenzie's class. So we cut out the 26 flowers and then cut out the 26 leafs. We then punched holes in the middle and inserted the lollipops. We attached the leafs different since they didn't stay very well on the stick, so we taped them to the flower. They turned out really cute, Mackenzie did a really good job. Friday was her party and her birthday so she got to take in a birthday treat. She wanted heart sugar cookies, so Thursday night we made 30 large heart sugar cookies and after the kids went to bed I iced and decorated 30 sugar cookies. I also volunteered to put together the goodie bags (I won't make that mistake twice) it was really a lot of work and thinking of cool things to put in a bag for third grade boys and girls was not fun. But it turned out pretty good and Mackenzie was pleased and that's all that really matters.
Now Mariah's were store bought from last year but a project nonetheless. She gave Spiderman pencil Valentine's for the boys and Tinker Bell pencil Valentine's for the girls. She did such a good job writing all the kids names and her own name on all the Valentine's, I was really impressed with her this year and not complaining at all about all the writing. The poor girl still hasn't had her Valentine's party, her school got cancelled on Thursday due to a funeral at the church and she doesn't have school on Friday's and there was so school today so tomorrow is the big day. She is very excited about exchanging her Valentine's.
