I can't believe it my little Mariah is 5 years old. Time has sure passed by fast, I can remember that day I held her for the first time. She was born at 12:15 am and weighted a little over 7lbs. Little did I know that she was going to be a little Rebecca, now we all now that has its pros and cons. Mariah has been a great kid and is a joy to be around, she always has something funny to say even if its not meant to be funny. She was so excited about today. Last night she kept asking all types of questions like; will I be taller tomorrow, will I have any wiggly teeth tomorrow, and will I be smarter tomorrow? Well this morning I got a tap on my back from a little hand, it was not light out yet in fact it was 6:30 am which I can not do. She said "am I 5 yet" and I said "yes, Happy Birthday sweetie and I'll talk to you in a few minutes, go play in your room and I'll be right there". My alarm doesn't go off until 7:15 am to get Mackenzie ready for school. Now last night I told her she could open her presents after breakfast since today is one of our crazy dance days. She was so excited to open those presents this morning she even got dressed when Mackenzie did just to have enough time to play with everything before school. Well she loved her presents and was very excited for the event we had planned after school. Now just to let everyone know she did measure herself this morning and I guess she grew an inch, no wiggly teeth but she did feel smarter when she woke up. Mariah has a popular phrase she likes to use and it is"when I was three or I did that when I was three". We carpooled to school today and I heard her begin to say "when I was three" but caught herself and changed it to "when I was four". I guess that will be her new phase "when I was four". Can I tell you Mackenzie can't stand it when she says that, she will say "everything didn't happen to her when she was three". I guess I will get to hear how this new phase will drive Mackenzie nuts too.
Here are a few pictures of what Mariah and I did after school today.
She said she had a Great Day!

I remember the brand new baby Mariah... it goes too fast. When I stopped by on Tuesday night she was very proud to tell me that she's 5 -- what a girl!
