Well we're back and now our summer can finally began! Mackenzie and I just got back from the KAR National Dance Competition in Panama City Florida. We had a great time dancing and playing. We went with our friends Sandi & Diane (moms) and Hannah & Rachel (girls). We shared a 3 bedroom condo on the beach, it was so nice and had a great view. We arrived on Friday night and had all day Saturday to just play and rest on the beach. Mackenzie danced trio Sunday morning, they earned 2nd place and a $100.00 cash prize. Then we had the rest of the day to relax. Monday was a day of fun too but had to practice around 6pm. So we took a boat ride out to shell island and were able to see some dolphin too. Tuesday they danced early and did well with tap, jazz, and lyrical but Jazz is the only one that placed. They earned 3rd place with a $100.00 cash prize. Then we were able to relax the rest of the day. Wednesday we danced production and placed 4th place with no cash prize. We were a little sad that the provocative dance bet us out, oh well I guess that saying is true "sex sells" ( I wish it didn't). After that we promised the girls that once the competition was over they could get hair wraps and us moms got those fake tattoos. That night they had a pizza party from the dancers and just hung out with the other parents. Thursday came quick, we boarded the plan and headed for home.

I am glad your summer can finally begin. It sounds like you had fun in Florida. Hopefully you had some doewn time to enjoy it.
