4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend, the first weekend in months where we had no scheduled plans and I can't tell you how wonderful that was. Friday was weird because it rained most of the day. We were a little lucky to have had some time to clean up the front yard. I have had no time to weed our front flower beds and it showed. So we went out first thing in the morning and put everyone to work, even Mason was giving orders from his stroller. We were able to get a lot done so now our house doesn't look abandoned. After we got cleaned up Paul took the girls to go see Wall-e, they loved it but Paul said it was okay. Then we went out to eat at our favorite spanish restaurant for some good food and then did a little shopping. We came back home and the girls did pop its and sparklers. It was raining off and on so we didn't want to deal with the whole fireworks and crowds of people so we just stayed home. Saturday was Goldie's big day to have her teeth cleaned. So when we dropped her off we took a look around the pet store. Mackenzie saw hermit crabs in Florida and wanted to get some so we agreed. Mariah wanted fish so we agreed. So $80.00 later we have all the stuff for 2 hermit crabs and all the stuff for 2 fish luck us. We finally got a call to pick Goldie up, she was so worn out it took her 2 days to get back to her normal self. What on ordeal for her. We hope all of you had a great holiday weekend too!

Sounds like you guys had a good 4th of July weekend too. I like it when you can relax and enjoy instead of running like crazy on holidays!!
